Cheltenham home improvers in Top 5 spot

Home owners in the UK have spent an average of £1,875 each on improving their property over the last five years.

Cheltenham, which recorded the biggest house price rise of 2017, moved two places up the South-West home-improvement leader board with a 14% increase according to construction industry analysts Barbour ABI.

And new research has found that redecorating, garden landscaping and new flooring are among the most popular ways of adding value to the family home.

What’s more, people in the South West are more willing to renovate in order to transform their house into a dream home, according to a new report on Britain’s renovation habits.
