Dogs set to take the plunge!

Our four-legged friends will be taking the plunge at Sandford Parks Lido this autumn, when Cheltenham’s outdoor swimming pool hosts its highly anticipated Dog Swim on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October 2018.

Taking place at the end of Sandford Park Lido’s season and following all human swimming sessions, this year’s Dog Swim will be a pre-purchased ticketed event, with doggy owners able to register online for a specific time slot.

While some dogs are naturals in the water, other dogs may need a little help, therefore owners are allowed to get into the pool too, with the water temperature set to be below 21 degrees celsius on the day.

Dogs must be kept on a lead while they are in the grounds until they get into the water, and while lifeguards will be on duty, owners are responsible for cleaning up afterwards and removing dogs from any barking arguments.

Event:            Dog Swim

Venue:           Sandford Parks Lido

Dates:            Saturday 13 to Sunday 14 October 2018

Times:            From 10am to 6pm

Admission:     Tickets cost £10, plus admin fee, for one dog and two accompanying humans.

Telephone:     (01242) 524430
