Anti-Money Laundering Policy 

Alongside every other estate agent Peter Ball has a legal obligation to comply with relevant Anti-money laundering regulation. This is a responsibility that we take very seriously and we take steps, as laid out under these regulations to properly identify our customers.

In order to satisfy these obligations we will ask for evidence of identity and current residential address for all our clients. We will ask to see and take copies of the originals of documents such as the following:-

Identification

  • Passport or
  • Drivers Licence or
  • EEA Identity Card

Proof of Address

  • Drivers Licence (if not used to prove identity) or
  • Bank/ Building Society / Credit card statements
  • Mortgage statements
  • Council Tax Bills
  • Utility Bills (not mobile phone bills)
  • Benefits entitlement documentation

In certain circumstances we will look to undertake electronic verification checks in addition to, or in substitution for, the above.

Additional documentary evidence will be sought where transactions are being undertaken when acting as Representative of an Estate, Trust or Limited Company.
